But they are personal and I hope people can gain some joy, some peace, or some strength from reading them. They may come from a song I hear or a scripture verse. I began writing prayers each morning soon after Gene’s death and it has given me new inner strength. My little piece of heaven is sitting on a front porch rocker on my porch, watching the birds and feeling like Gene is with me on that porch. I take comfort knowing he woke up and saw the face of Jesus and had his memory restored. In June of 2016 Gene went to sleep early and peacefully transitioned to heaven.
